So I met these lovely guys at the English pre race meeting. From Slovenia … and all really experienced mountain runners. The guy on the left came fifth (with a hamstring injury). They were naming some famous Australian mountain runners they were friends with and were kinda surprised I wasn’t friends with them as well????!!!!
They also told me they always have one beer the night before a race … so who was I to argue with the advice of the experienced peoples!
