So I will type quickly and briefly as I feel the nippy post sunset wind setting in … But in short … the last couple of weeks my very lovely pals Kyles and Sean have been over here visiting and so many fun times have been had. Has been wonderful to be able to share some of the many crazy and unexpected moments together!! We celebrated my bday and K & S’s wedding anniversary in a treehouse 50 metres up in the air … which involved ziplining in and around the forest. So much fun!!! The treehouses were part of a Gibbon monkey protection project in a protected area a couple of hours from where I’m living. The week ahead was then spent in and around Namtha with me enjoying watching K & S take the focus in terms of extra top ups on the lao lao, dancing and other such delights! Sean made quite an impression on my Laos “Dad” (see photo – My Laos family) … and he even stayed home from a wedding to share an extra packet of cigarettes and some specially brewed extra potent lao lao with the “other man” aka Sean, in the room! The last couple of days have been in Luang Prabang and enjoying the environmental and cultural delights of Laos but mixed in with some luxuries of wine bars, wood fired pizza and bowling!! The pics tell the story …
