had only a couple of nights in europe and already so artistically inspired (and addicted to espressos) … a few quick shots for you from oporto, portugal. off to peniche (famous portugese surfing spot) tomorrow … so hopefully will remember some technique
first night out and about in brussels, no hostels to be found, so i whiled away many fabulous hours in this little cuban cafe with some amazing live music. my dancing has now improved

In Vientiane at the moment enjoying being with some good buddies … Maura (pal from the US living in VT) and Kel (lives down the south in Thakek) … Both top quality and maybe I’ll bring them in my backpack to Australia one day.
Well it is corn season at the moment so I have been averaging about 4 cobs a day I think. Most delicious! I was eating some in the market today and chatting to a few other people sitting there and they were asking me how much you had to pay a family when you wanted to get married in Australia (marriage being a constant topic of conversation over here). When I told them nothing they were all in utter disbelief and word started travelling around that little section of the market until there was quite a crowd gathered! Lots of people trying to find ways of getting to Australia to find themselves a wife now!
Headed to Vientiane tomorrow for some meetings etc, Thailand for dentist action on Monday and headed to Europe next Wednesday. Itching for the beach. My phone won’t be in range Monday onwards, but I’ll be on email every time the surf is messy.
